The Fried Egg

Daily Video Tips
You do not mention how far behind to hit the ball or how open is the face of the club. I also noticed your back swing was very upright with a quick hinge of the wrist. Are those important to hitting the fried egg shot?
I have the same question as a couple below: how does this shot differ from a shot when the ball isn't imbedded? Thanks.
Hi James. Very informative. How would you change your set up and approach if on the same shot you were hitting the ball wasn't embedded? -Frank
Hi Coach, what happens if you do this and try to get the ball out when ball is sitting normal in bunker (ie. not plugged fried egg)? Is the problem not enough back spin and can't go very far?
Club face open, or neutral?
Which club you use for this ??
